Dan Christian
Being an overseas player can be a highly
pressured situation. Away from home with
the expectancy to perform in every game
and, in the case ofTwenty20s, only having
one chance a week to showcase your talent,
can get the better of some cricketers.
However, it is an environment in which
Christian thrives. And no matter where he
ends up playing, whether it is in the Big
Bash, the IPL or for his country, there is
one thing never far from his mind.
“Winning competitions,” he said
confidently.
“You start playing the
game as a kid because
you want to win matches
and that is no different now, even though I
have been around for a number of years.”
It’s an attitude that endears Christian to
fans all around the world. Exploits during
his 2015 stint for the Outlaws certainly
enhanced his reputation in the East
Midlands.
Returning toTrent Bridge in 2016, this
time as captain of the Outlaws in the
NatWestT20 Blast, Nottinghamshire
After becoming the latest in a long line
of Australian internationals to call Trent
Bridge home, Dan Christian’s first spell
with Nottinghamshire in 2015 left a
lasting impression.
