39 @TRENTBRIDGE Acrisure, the insurance and financial technology company and parent company of Nottingham-based Russell Scanlan, has been named official insurance partner of Nottingham- shire County Cricket Club. The global financial services business’ name will adorn the Fox Road Stand at Trent Bridge – now christened the Acrisure Stand – while Acrisure branding will feature on the sleeve of the playing shirt of The Blaze, who represent Nottingham- shire at the highest level of women’s domestic cricket. Russell Scanlan have also adopted theTrent Bridge Community Trust, Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club’s charitable arm, as their charity of the year, which will help to generate funds to support the growth of the game across the region. ACRISURE AND NOTTS BEGIN LONG-TERM PARTNERSHIP CLOSER LINKS FORGED BETWEEN TRUST AND COMMUNITY TEAMS Nottinghamshire’s community and development team and the Trent Bridge CommunityTrust are seeking to benefit from shared ideas and expertise, as the two teams merge their operations and work under one roof for the first time. The community and development team, formerly known as the Nottinghamshire Cricket Board before officially becoming part of the club in 2021, deliver recreational cricket sessions for people of all ages and abilities countywide, while also providing support and expertise to Nottinghamshire’s club cricket network. TheTrent Bridge CommunityTrust, established over 15 years ago, helps to raise aspirations and break down barriers for disadvantaged young people. It also provides mental wellbeing support for individuals through the Notts in Mind scheme, and offers weekly activity sessions and peer support opportunities for individuals living with dementia and their carers as part of the Forget Me Notts initiative. Head of Community and Development, MandyWright, over- sees the work of both teams. “By merging theTrust and recreational arms under one roof, our teams can learn from each other, sharing ideas and expertise to ensure we are serving people in our communities to the best of our abilities,” she said. “It will allow us to spread the word of ourTrust and recreational projects to new audiences, joining the dots between our cricket and non-cricket activities and strengthening the link between theTrust and the club. “Even if programmes delivered by our teams involve different activities, they often engage with similar groups of people, and deliver similar outcomes. “With the support of our new group of Trustees – which now includesThe Blaze’s Director of Cricket James Cutt and Notts committee member Navdeep Sethi – we’re looking forward to targeting our delivery to ensure we can have the greatest possible impact across the city and county.”
