Alongside the likes of Surrey, Lancashire, and Warwickshire – who have conformed to the name of their county – we stand apart from the other seven as the only team to retain the team name we played under in 2024. However, we fully align alongside Nottingham- shire men’s team, are incredibly proud to call Trent Bridge our home and to play a part in the ever-growing history of cricket in Nottingham- shire. Our 2024 Charlotte Edwards Cup win sits on the Trent Bridge roll of honour in the players’ gym, while the season of 2025 will see a record seven of our home games being played at Trent Bridge, four of which precede Outlaws fixtures as part of T20 Blast double headers. While the decision to remainThe Blaze was one taken by the club as a whole, it doesn’t fall into insignificance for our group. The name ‘The Blaze’ is intricately intertwined in our build- ing of a successful, title-winning team from the foundations of a historically poor one. Before our move toTrent Bridge in the winter of 2022, our domestic team was based at Loughborough University, under the name of ‘Light- ning’.
