KIT CHECK The Green and Golds’ training and playing kit for the 2024 season has been launched, with all items now available in the club shop and online. A monochromatic theme takes centre stage in the black and grey training attire, while Nottinghamshire’s classic white flannels remain unchanged for the County Championship. Bold, textured green lines flash across the front of Notts Outlaws’ otherwise goldVitality Blast shirt, while thin gold stripes run diagonally across the green Metro Bank One Day Cup shirt. All shirts will display the club’s team sponsor, John Pye Auctions, for a tenth successive year. Vertu Motors will sit on the sleeve of the limited-overs kits, and the back of the County Championship shirt, while Affixxius Films adorns the back of the T20 shirt. “WE’VE BALANCED TRADITION AND INNOVATION THROUGHOUT OUR TIME WITH ADIDAS, AND THIS SELECTION OF KIT FEELS THE SAME,” Club Captain, Haseeb Hameed said. “There is a personality in our white-ball kits which contrasts the tried and tested whites we wear for red-ball cricket. “And the training kit is simple but effective. We want to look the part as one club together, and this allows us to do that.” THE BLAZE AT TRENT BRIDGE The Blaze will take toTrent Bridge on four occasions throughout May, with card-carrying members permitted access to watch the East Midlands outfit as part of a package of perks. The new year marks the regional women’s team’s second season with Nottinghamshire’s home as a base, having reached the final of both the 50 and 20-over competitions in their first year, with wins in both matches at Trent Bridge during that campaign. The roster of players onThe Blaze’s books includes England starsTammy Beaumont, Sarah Glenn and Nat Sciver-Brunt, while captain Kirstie Gordon and all-rounder Sophie Munro were among those to grace the global stage during the recent winter. “We have loved having Trent Bridge as our base, and it played out in our performances last year,” Gordon said. “I distinctly remember that opening game against Central Sparks, with the crowd that came down to support us and the momentum that gave us for the rest of the season. “THERE IS DEFINITELY SOMETHING ABOUT PLAYING AT TRENT BRIDGE, AS A PLACE WE ARE ABLE TO CALL HOME THROUGH THE YEAR, THAT GIVES THOSE GAMES AN EXTRA SENSE OF OCCASION. THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY THERE FOUR TIMES IN MAY IS REALLY EXCITING.” The Blaze’s final game at Trent Bridge against Central Sparks will precede Notts Outlaws’Vitality Blast opener against Northamptonshire Steelbacks.Ticket purchasers for this day will be entitled access to both fixtures. Monday 6 May: Thunder (Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy & Food Festival) Wednesday 8 May: Western Storm (Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy) Thursday 23 May: Northern Diamonds (Charlotte Edwards Cup) Friday 31 May: Central Sparks (Charlotte Edwards Cup – Double Header with Notts Outlaws)
