Freddie McCann has earned his first professional contract having graduated from the Academy, and joins young home- grown talents Sammy King and Fateh Singh in penning one and two-year deals respectively. “We pride ourselves on how players develop at Notting- hamshire. Keeping Freddie, Sammy and Fateh at the club shows they value that opportunity too,” Peter Moores said. “Over 50% of our Academy graduates have won professional contracts in recent years – more than the First-Class average – and that speaks volumes of the work being done by staff in our Academy, as well as the players themselves who deserve great credit. “We also know that players from other clubs recognise what being at Notts can do for their game. “Jack Haynes, Dillon Pennington and JoshTongue have joined us over the winter. We have gained a strong reputation for helping players move their games forward and that has attracted these three to the club.” Elsewhere, Alex Hales and Matt Carter have both agreed white-ball contracts for the forthcoming season, while last year’s Player of the Season, Brett Hutton, has signed an exten- sion to remain at Trent Bridge until the end of 2026. Wicketkeeper-batterTom Moores has agreed a one-year con- tract extension, keeping him at the club until 2025. Steven Mullaney has, meanwhile, agreed a three-year contract on a player-coach basis, a move which will also see the former Club Captain lead the Second XI to provide mentoring to Notts’ progressing players.
