Now I reflect on it, I was knackered all the time.We worked on our values and spent a lot of time in the classroom too. “I have never been in another team environment so I guess it is difficult to say, but I do believe our team chemistry is what stands us apart from others and that was crucial. “And we obviously signed really well – Nadine de Klerk was the best overseas you could ask for because she did absolutely everything. “Glenny (Sarah Glenn) and Nat (Sciver- Brunt) came in and Kirstie (Gordon) stepped up as captain.When you factor all those things in, it isn’t a surprise that we did well but I guess it was hard to envisage it all clicking into place at once. “Personally speaking, I felt like last year was a bit of a breakthrough season. I want to be the player that wins us games – if you are a professional cricketer you want to stand up and be that person.
