Have his travels with the England setup left him wanting more? “Everybody wants to play for England, don’t they?” he says. “However, my first focus is getting into the first four-day side of the season. “For now, I really want to play for Notts for as long as possible and I can’t wait to get going.” While the future cannot be predicted, one thing seems certain: the name Joey Evison will be cropping up with regularity over the next few years.
