Described as having an ‘air of genius’ by Director of Cricket Mick Newell, the wicketkeeper-batsman has racked up over 1,000 runs for the second team in two summers, including some swashbuckling centuries. Known for his aggressive batting style, the left-hander will be hoping to show Nottinghamshire Members and supporters the best of his abilities across all three formats in the coming summers, having signed a deal to take him through to the end of the 2021 season. Evison has taken to each new cricketing challenge he has encountered like a duck to water, from scoring a hundred early on in his time with Lincolnshire’s U10s to looking at home on first-class debut for Nottinghamshire againstWarwickshire at Trent Bridge in September. The 17-year-old became the first player born in the 2000s to represent Notts during his 2019 debut. The highly-rated all-rounder, who also bowls medium pace, has committed his future to the club for the next three years.
